This speaks for all of those who were born into unfortunate circumstances without a choice. Its meaning spans across generations connecting those born into a time of war, economic hard ship, abuse, addiction & anything else that can weight heavily on a young soul. The gas mask represents the choice we are all still left with, fight the toxicity to become something greater, or take off the mask and succumb to the toxicity.
